This says it the best!!

What do you do for social life?

Running is my social life. Every day I get to interact with people who share the same passion I do.

"I try to sleep 12 hours with my night rest and my nap combined"

Thats it, no more work, no more family. Just eat, sleep, and workout.

Who's with me? We can live in my trailer in the hills. Gather berrys for dinner and pick up all the pop cans we see. Then on our long rides, take them with us to Oregon and get the despoit back to use for race entrys. And of course at the races stock up on all the "free gels" we can fit in our shirts.

What a life. Who's With me?

That is a good read................
And she actually gets 12 hours of sleep a day!! Can't imagine that.

Speaking of running and a social life, a great read is "The Runner and the Path - An Athletes Quest for Meaning in Postmodern Corporate America" by Dean Ottati.

The author searches for meaning in everyday life and the work/family/love/spiritual balance we all look for. Zen approach and it's less about running and more about relationships. Another look at the many benefits of pounding the pavement.
