The result of my race on Sat was frustrating ufortunately.
I had a strong swim and bike but something happened once on the run. Wasn't the heat - had GI issues. I pulled myself out because I could not run for more than about a mile without having to stop at the aid station porto pots. Bummed but was the right decision. Only did about 8 miles of the run (slowly) and hit every porto pot along the way. Doc in the med tent who needed to check me out suspected it was something I consumed, but not sure what it was. May have been some bad milk in my muesli that morning.
First time this sort of thing has ever happened to me. A fluke I hope!

Sorry to hear about the race issues, but hope the rest of the experience was a good one. I will plan on going with you next year.
Rob

Hey Decker, sorry to hear the race didn't unfold the way we all hoped it would.
Ironically, the run you describe sounds a lot like a typical Saturday night for Kyle and Joe.
Nonetheless Decker, you're still Superman to me, both physically and emotionally (but seriously you look just like Clark Kent). Hope you're taking some well deserved rest, see you out there soon.
