Boise YMCA Triathlon Club Meeting Info Inquiry

Hello! My name is Jed Reese and I am interested in joining the Boise YMCA Triathlon Club as I prepare for the Boise 70.3. I was fortunate enough to meet a handful of club members this last Saturday at the Tri Swim practice. In speaking to some of you, I understand there is a series of meetings scheduled for this week to talk about the club and what it has to offer based on an individual's goals, etc. Can someone please reply with any information they have on this as I would love to attend?

Hey Jed,

I was one of the people you met on saturday. It looks like the people who have had some 70.3 experience in the past are meeting this thursday at
7pm at the downtown Y. Not sure about the other groups meeting times,
but Im sure someone will post soon to address the other days and times.

There is a mistake in the posting above for Wednesday' meeting. I am meeting with the athletes who intend to compete in a full Ironman in 2010. The following has been planned for this week.

Wednesday: Meeting with full ironman athletes for 2010
Thursday: Meetng with experienced 70.3 athletes for 2010
Friday: Meeting with beginner/novice 70.3 athletes for 2010

As always, we'll do what we can to make it work. The new schedule starts Monday, Jan 4th, so best to look at the club's calendar at the end of this month to see what is going on if we can't meet before then.

Like Jed, I have had thoughts of joining the Y Tri Club as well. I have met Kevin and Harold at one of the clinics this past spring and that clinic was very helpful! I know that there have been some thoughts about growing/expanding the tri club to the West Y. Are there more plans being developed for that growth? Or is the focus primarily with the downtown Y?

I have officially started my training for IMCDA in June and it would be helpful from time to time to meet up with this awesome group! Thanks for any information you can provide. -Ryan Lund
