Here's the information that you need. At the moment we have 10 athletes confirmed with another 6 or 7 'unsures'. It you still want to compete, just show up tomorrow, but if possible try and get your expected times to me today so that I can sort out your handicaps up front; if not, no big deal, I'll figure them out tomorrow.

The main door of the Y will NOT be open at 8.30 am, so you will need to use the side door on the West end of State Street. The first person is scheduled to begin their swim at 9.00 am. The swim is 500 yards (20 lengths and is an honor system..!!). Transition can be anywhere in the building and will be included in your overall time. The run is 3 miles. Raul will be riding his mountain bike out on the course with the lead runner. The course is an out and back, up 11th to Camel's Back, clockwise around the park to the entrance of the foothills and (Jeremy pay attention....!) turn around and run exactly the reverse route back.

Handicaps are:

Name Mins
Jill 0
Kevin D 7
Chris F 10
Paul S 10.5
Susan F 11.5
Tonny 12
James 17
Jeremy 17.75
Aaron 18.5
Kevin E 23

See you tomorrow at 8.30 am (ish)

Hi Harold, I sent you an email, but I plan to be there also. Like I said, I don't even know where to start in guessing my 500yd time, and I can run at least 8min miles (I expect faster tho). It's been about 12 years since I ran 3 miles for time.

Another question: How do the handicaps here work? ... does this mean the Jill starts right at 9a - Kevin, 7min later, and so on?

Se yall DT at 8:30a.

Fun race this morning. Any time I can finish before Kevin is a good time!

Thanks to Harold and Julie for putting it on.

Congratulations to Kevin D for his fine win this morning and to James for skunking Kevin E....Jeremy managed to follow the correct course this year and is therefore still in the running.

Next Frostbite is February 21st; same distances just different handicaps.

Huge thanks to Raul for his help.

Way fun race this morning...although I think myself, Paul and Kevin E should get extra points for the 2 hour computrainer ride afterwards!

Yes,, super fun and thanks Raul, Julie, and Harold for the support! The next race should be even closer now that we have at least 12 people's course times. I'd love to see all the racers finish within about 30 seconds of each other.

Thanks for posting the results above Harold....I think everyone needs to subtract 5 min to get the correct run time split.

Thanks again H for making this happen. This is nothing better then knowing there is someone out there chasing you to keep you pushing hard on the run. For those wondering, you don't even think of the cold...you only worry about they footsteps....

Spent a lot of time going over the results and the run times are correct; don't forget that they included the transition, which for some of the athletes took a looooonnnggg time....except Big J, who sped through transition like a Stealth Fighter (well OK, he was pretty quick!).

I'll be looking for a swim top that supports... well, just will be extra supportive to speed up that transition time...
