Just saw these on Trifind

The Boise bike course looks a little scary. Hopefully they will have a lot of volunteers to monitor traffic.

It kinda looks like that course was designed by someone who has never been to Boise. Hey, this looks nice on the map. And better yet, let's make it a loop so we can do it twice!
I guess the extra adrenaline of having cars buzz you will make you pedal harder!

This event is put on by Keith Hughes, the former RD of Boise 70.3 I'm sure Keith knows the streets well enough.
Yes, he is using busy roads, but at 6:30 AM on a Saturday it should be pretty quiet. He is also making all turns on the bike course right handers, so we will never have to cross traffic.
I would assume he will have city cops at the intersections. Most of the roads are wide enough to even have the race get it's own lane.
I didn't look at the price.
Keith Hughes knows his stuff so I would suspect this would be a well coordinated event.
I kinda like the bike course because it is no place I would normally ride
And May is good race weather!!

I didn't see the price, what is it?
I think that last year when they made the proposal for the Clocktower race and subsequently canceled it, they were asking $65...way to steep for this style race IMO. But, cool that we have three additional races.

Active.com has it listed as $65 for Individual, $80 for Relay.
I can understand that it will be a little more expensive due to the traffic control they will need to make those streets safe for racers.

$65 plus active.com will charge a fee you're looking @ $70-$75 dollars for a sprint. Yikes
