Friday: Bike intervals as usual.
Saturday: Veteran's Pond at 9.00 am followed by 10 miles run on
Greenbelt.
Sunday: Leave from BHS track at 9.00 am for a 70 miles bike; either
towards Idaho City or Emmett Rubaix, depending upon wind
direction. Then 3 x 1 mile repeats on the track with Julie's aid
station.
Hey, anybody interested in a compu-trainer ride tomorrow, Sat, 8:00 a.m.-ish?
Harold, no offense, I'm a weather whimp, & (short window before Shawn's MTB race)
Thanks,

Are we really swimming in the pond tomorrow? It's supposed to drop down into the 30's tonight.
What an excellent weekend you have planned for us Harold :)
~Let's hope the weather on Sunday cooperates.

It's not looking good. We'll show up to the pond at 9.00 am and make a group decision; probably be just a run, but who knows?
I'll be at the downstown pool at 9:00a.m. for an indoor swim if anyone is interested in joining me. Katy

Kudos to the 9 athletes that braved Veteran's this morning and then ran 10 miles.....ouch!
Veteran's is very cold at the moment and so we're making adjustments as we go along.
Here's what's happening on Monday (24th). Noon swim in Veteran's but the 6.00 pm swim is going to be in Lakeharbor, which is considerably warmer. Chris will post how to get there and where to park, etc. so watch this space.

I can't say I envy any of you pond swimmers today. And I thought we had it bad way out in Kuna racing in the mud & wind!

Me either. There was plenty of rain and wind during the Cycle for Independence. At least there was a little hail to pull the whole thing together. Do enjoy the promised rain/snow mix that is currently falling!

I thought to myself, I will wait for it to warm up and then work out. Ended up with 10 miles in the snow. Thanks mother nature.

I'm thinking I'll try Mike's idea of "wait and let it warm up" today. Planning on riding around noon today if anyone is interested. Probably will end up doing a local loop 2-3 times to get the mileage in without risking getting caught in the rain too far from home. Post reply if interested in joining!

A smart idea Erin.... it's in the high 30's, with wet roads and chance for rain all day. I am recommending riding indoors...either trainer's at home or compi's DT. Pop in a DVD or two and ride, ride, ride. Our plan was to ride 70 miles today and then 3 x 1 mile on the track. Try to simulate as best you can.
For the die hards...or knuckle heads...:-) I will be at the track at 9am. Not sure if we should ride though....
