Park Center underpass!!

Just a heads-up.

I ran one loop of the course this morning to check it out and was suprised to see that the underpass beneath the Park Center bridge was already just underwater. If the river rises at all then I doubt that the footpath will be useable. Please keep a check on the 'latest news' and any bulletins regarding the run course. Recall that a similar thing happened two years ago and the run course was changed.

At the Athlete's Meeting earlier tonight, they told us we would run the same route as last year. I think that means we run further down the path in the opposite direction (toward Veterans Park). I didn't do the race last year so I don't know for sure.:confused:

If I remember correctly last year we turned and ran across the broadway bridge then head west, crossed at the friendship bridge and then turned around at about where the Pleasanton connection hits the green belt (Quinns pond). I think the planned route would have been more enjoyable but what can you do.
