Just to let you know that Matt McDowell is also racing a half ironman this weekend as a form of 'warm up' for his CDL full Ironman in June.

Good luck and more to both of you guys.:)

All I can say is man it is early in the year for a half! But, seeing you too put in the hard work over the winter and spring, I know you are both ready to have great races. Rob...Perth is an awesome town and Matt...Kona is paradise! I will be thinking of you both as I suffer through 4 loops of Cartwright.

Good luck and Godspeed!

Thanks for the good luck guys, especially Super Dan for making me one of the 3 posts he has made.

I leave Thursday AM with the race on Sunday the 5th. I should be in the water by 8:30 Galviston time. Feel much farther along than I did last year at this time (thanks Harold) and looking for a good result. My goal for this race, besides just finishing, is Swim 30min, Bikes Avg 23+mph and Run @ 7:30 pace. Not to much pressure! Would really like to finish around 4:50.

If you would like to check my splits you can go to www.mychiptime.com (http://www.mychiptime.com) and it wil have the splits like Ironman has. I am also hoping to try the new GPS tracking where you clip a traker to your race belt and my friends and family can see where I am on the coures, how fast Im going etc.. The old follow the dot on the screen thing. Sounds cool! You can go to
www.MyAthleteGPS.com (http://www.MyAthleteGPS.com) to try it out. Look for Rob Thiry #313(I think).
The very least I hope to have a good tale to share next Wed. at the track workout.

Good luck to everyone doing the Spring Sprint! I expect nothing less than total Y Tri domination( with some Bad Facial Hair). See Ya next week!
