Given the numbers that are showing up for Friday bike intervals we need to change the venue. Beginning this Friday (24th April) we will move them to a route that Hortense has found on a quiet road parallel to Warm Springs. The course is almost traffic-free and has two miles or flat riding and 1 km of hill riding, and so it produces the same effect as our conventional venue.
Either leave from Camel's Back at 5.30 pm (not 5.45 pm) or meet at the Lucky 13 restaurant/bar at 5.45 pm on Warm Springs. We will all ride the course as a warm up and to show you where the intervals begin/end.
For those of you that need some help with the protocols for pace-lines and interval riding, and biking in a group, there will be a short clinic on Friday at 5.00 pm at Camel's Back before we leave for the session. I would recommend this to anyone new to group riding or who has little experience with pace-lines (chain gangs).
