First of all thanks for all the words of in encouragement before the race. I finished in 5:36:21 not by fastest time but that was not my goal for this race. Survival was. I had a great swim, felt nice and relaxed. Did it in 34:50 That is 9:00 minutes faster than Boise last year. The bike went well did it under 3:00 hours. Went through the 40 mile mark in 2:00 hours. Felt good but was saving my energy for the last 16 miles uphill and the run. The bike was fun, one hill you are doing everything to do 8 mph. going uphill. Them on the downhill you are doing 45 + mph. and hoping you don't hit anything. Them there was the run. Lets just say I am looking forward to the Greenbelt. Just when you thought you went over the last hill they put one more in. I took the run nice and slow not wanting to kill myself before Boise 70.3. Did the run in 2:01:44 (personal slowest). I had to work through some dehydration issues on the run. Today I feel great, I could even workout. The only thing that I early mess up was I did not put on any sun block. I now have a MAJOR SUNBURN. This is the first time in my life that I have had a good burn nad it really hurts.

If anyone that wants to challenge themselves mentally and physically this has to be one of the best Halfs around. And there are over 20,000 people the cheer you on. Great event.

Thanks again for the support. Now I can't wait to bulid up for the Boise 70.3. See you at the next group workout that I can make. Brian.

Nice job...yeah that race is a challenge x 10. The run is hard enough withoug being dehydrated. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to recover...

Nice Job Brain, sounds like a good prep for Boise.

When you live some place that doesn't have much SUN like Boise, its easy to forget the sun screen. (sorry just sick of this @$&#% spring weather)
I also forgot the screen in Texas , and started feeling a bit crispy on the run. Since it was a 4 loop coures They had an aid station at the start/finish that had some so I was able to apply during the race.
Its an easy thing to forget when its 6am and 45* out. Thats A good thing to remember for Bosie.
