Heey Gang!!

I ran the final race of my high school career on wednesday night at Rocky Mountain. I should have been running tonight but I missed the mile qualifying time of 4:45 by 2 seconds:mad::confused:.

It was a very wacky race as there were 30 kids in my heat (there were 3 heats) and they started us off in a single waterfall?????? I had the third fastest seed time in the entire race and I got boxed in and trapped behind 25 kids. I was boxed in again on the second lap as well and found myself 60 meters behind the lead pack (who I should have been with the entire time).

After this temporary obstacle, and even though I have been sick this whole week, I somehow was able to start a kick. I made up around 55 meters on the leaders and passed 20 kids to finish 5th with a time of 4:48!

I would never wish this fate upon anybody as it was very painful!!!

Ill hopefully see you all tonight for the bike intervals.

4:48 is sick, Taylor! I will say it again, your future, no matter what you choose to do, is bright! Keep your head up...everything happens for a reason, maybe it is time for you to be a National Triathlon Champion!

Nice job!!! Unfortunately that can happen in track sometimes. You just never know when. But when it does it certainly is frustrating. I've been there and done that.

I agree with Tom, your future in tri looks very bright. Keep up the hard work.
