Road Bike Wanted - 48-50cm

I'm looking for a bike for my wife, probably about 48 - 50cm. She's not sure how serious she is yet, so if anyone has an old road set up that they're looking to sell (or maybe even lease for a few months) let me know. Hoping for something in the $100-$300 range but I'm also easily persuaded.

Have her try out bikes at the shops to figure out fit - she may hate it due to discomfort and do some damage if the bike doesn't fit her well

Jake I am currently in the process of purchasing a new bike. If so your wife can try my bike. If it works and all goes well with my purchase than I would sell it to ya.

Good point about getting a proper fit. Poor sizing is probably a big deterrent for beginners and that would be a shame.

Kelly, much appreciated! keep me posted on your purchase. After we get her sized, maybe we can set up a time in the next week or so to have her try your bike. Do you happen know the size and model?

Not sure of the size but I actually have 2 different bikes she can try. I am pretty positive I will be getting the new bike so let me know what she wants to do : )
