Thank you for all the support to those of you who have heard what happened:)

But for those of you who didn't know, I spent the night at St. Lukes on Sat night. Heres what happened;

I was having a great race( solid swim and solid bike even through the horrible hellish like weather in south boise during the bike), but with about 10 miles left on the bike, I started having really bad chest pains that were causing some difficulty in my breathing, so I had to slow a little for the last part of the bike:mad:

Heading into the run, my legs felt pretty strong but I couldn't seem to breathe and the chest pain was getting worse. A medic pulled me off course to check for any problems and noticed that something was not right and called for an ambulence. They took me to the friggin' ER, and lets just say I was pretty friggin' pissed about it!!!

Apparently I was showing signs of Hypothermia and after a series of blood tests, It was serious enough to keep me overnight in the hospital. In the morning they told me that I could have a poosible infection of the heart, but the tests soon revealed that the shortness of breath was causing a lack of oxygen to the heart.

I'm perfectly fine now and ready to jump back into training but the docs said to keep it limited for the next couple of days, so I will see all you awesome people on wednesday night.:D

Thank you again and great job to all of you who raced and kicked ass on saturday.

It's good to know you are OK. You need to analyize everything that happened and make sure to take steps to prevent anything in the future...it's tough to learn this the hard way...but sometimes it's also the best way to 'learn'.

Let's sit down sometime and talk about it.

Don't jump back into things too quickly. Your body needs a little time. You are fit & healthy so you recover fast but don't get right back into training. Take some time off. I made this mistake last year and ended up getting sick.

Good job and take a few days off...learn from this to make you stronger next time.
